Surely that's between Stam and the owners. He was an extremely good player, and my guess is that he wants to be a good manager. He will know from his discussions with the owners what budget he has Imagine he was told that he had a budget of (say) 20 million, and this was made public, how much extra would we have to pay for players? If he has a small budget, he must have accepted that, otherwise if he fails here, his managerial career could end before it has even started.

What will you gain by knowing his budget?
