Don't quite understand this one. He's in the last year of his contract - the Baggies have turned down 2 offers already - he hands in a transfer request - then he goes on loan.
What is stopping him from playing this season for Fulham then joining them for nothing in the summer? Do you think there is some kind of agreement in place for a fee to be agreed as the season progresses? I guess WBA can recall him from the loan should they see fit. Just strikes me as an odd deal.
Perhaps he wants to play in the PL, and has a release clause if WBA go down. Yes, but he's in the last year of his WBA contract.
