Vertonghan's injury could be telling as that defensive record is built around the centre half partnership. Levy doesn't strike me as the sort to pay over the odds in January for a short term fix either.frimmers3 wrote:"Weak" defence? Only one side has conceded fewer goals in the premiership to date, and only one fewer than Spurs. Can they keep their current form up? Anybody's guess.

That looks close as well, but maybe not quite over.Winston Smith wrote:Handsome Man wrote:

Yep, the shadow is still on the line so it's in......Handsome Man wrote:

One angle shows that it probably was. I think it was just over but fucked if the linesman puffing away twenty yards back is going to see it.Handsome Man wrote:That looks close as well, but maybe not quite over.Winston Smith wrote:Handsome Man wrote:

Was the lino on the far side? Bit harsh to have a go at him when he's got the posts, net, defender and keeper hampering his view.Nameless wrote: Hugely difficult for the lino, although he should have been on the goal line and had managed to get himself a few yards out of position.

That's typically a good rule of thumb. You see a bit of green between ball and line - ball is probably going to be completely over the line. The seemed to think that because they could see some grass the ball was out.
