Looking likely Selles will become the new Sheff Utd boss.
Cant imagine he will be looking to poach any of the squad.
Maybe Knibbs or could Mbengue make the step up?

Garcia for the long term?

Was a concern at Hull, but nobody in our squad is ready to play for Sheffield United.

That’ll go down better with the blue half of Sheffield than the red half.

Selles wouldn't come for anyone here for the first team, but he could come for a few as squad players who could develop. Unlikely as they're looking for PL, but then again they won't stay there.

The likes of Craig, Savage, Elliott are young enough and good enough that they could be useful squad players with a view to developing.

Really not being helped though by some “journo” (Khai Smith) at EFLAnalysis (no, me neither) saying Selles’ first must do job as Blades boss is take Savage away.

This is the one least likely to happen, Savage is on record as saying Selles didnt trust him and used to sub him as soon as he made a mistake

Given Savage is front and centre of the kit launch I'd be very surprised if the club were involved in negotiations to sell him.

I'm not sure I have any concrete examples, but I'm sure that's happened before. Maybe Long?

The media people aren't going to be party to transfer discussions.

I do vaguely remember a few seasons back a transfer rumour going around and walking to the game the player was front-and-centre in the Megastore window. After the game their picture was gone. We knew they were off... Just can't remember who it was though!

There have certainly been high-profile examples at other clubs - Grealish launching a new Villa kit just before moving to City to comes to mind.

I don't think the club intend to sell Savage, and it has been reported that he's happy here. That being said, every player has their price. Agree that don't think the club would be putting him at the middle of this if they were in genuine negotiations.

This. But like you said, if someone comes along and offers something stupid like £5m+, I'm sure we'd consider it.
