CeLOLtic have dropped out of the race to sign Huseklepp.
Apparently they can't afford the pricetag, Brann are asking £1.4M and Celtic only offered £1M.

ummm brann made a promise to huseklepp to sell him if an offer of 1 million came in, celtic offered that and brann suddenly decided to raise the price and then proceeded to tell the player it was just a verbal promise and not written in contract, jokers tried to hold celtic and huseklepp to ransom, the result is they lose out on a million and have a disillusioned player on their hands

in any case i don't think celtic need him, lennon's signings have been nothing short of sensational, particularly izaguirre, kayal and hooper who combined cost a total of just under 4 million and now are worth about 20 million

there was an old firm game a few days ago and this thread has not been bumped since then, i'm not sure why - was the game postponed? can anyone tell me the result?

AFAIK the reasons they rejected ceLOLtic's bid were a bit different than what you describe there.
First of all they only offered something like £250k up front and the rest was structured in silly ways, £250k for appearences, £250k for goals, blablabla..
Secondly the bid was too low. They sold him at a higher price to Serie A club Bari, who paid it all up front.
So they don't have a disillusioned player on their hands.. don't know where you get it from, but clearly the guy is quite happy to be earning loads of money in Italy.

i didn't realise he had been sold, i am glad the club didn't fcuk him over in the end, how is he getting on in bari?
