Er but you don't wash your hands and then use the gel?????? The whole point of the gel is to wash and dry in one go?

Presumably they left the sinks in because it would cost money to remove them and because some people can have an allergic reaction to alcohol hand gels...

I've never come across a gel that is intended to dry wet hands! As you say, the gel is a replacement for washing your hands not a replacement for towels/dryers. It won't remove dirt either so I hope they provide nice thick bog paper!

As the sinks will remain but not for the purpose of handwashing, perhaps we can use them as extra peeing capacity in the gents!

Any chance that providing gel works out cheaper than paying the bill for water/towels/dryers?

if its an alcohol gel it will remove dirt, kill bacteria and fungi present on hand, and dry itself within 30 seconds.
all round its better than a quick wash with water.and i doubt it will represent a huge saving.

in terms of price, i reckon roller towel hire/replacements = refills of alcohol gel.

on the other hand why wasnt i informed of this before i renewed my season ticket

i myself tried the new cheap healthy option vegetarian noodles last week.
they were ok, a solid 6/10 which for stadium food is quite good!
im bringing some tabasco, or sweet chili sauce next time though

I beg to differ - just where does the dirt disappear to? It can't just evaporate like the alcohol!!

That's the big difference with water - it flushes/carries the dirt away. So the alcohol will kill the bacteria in the sh*t but not remove the brown stuff from your hands!!

As for costing, don't forget the club would be charged per litre of water used by the taps and also per kilowatt for the electricity to power hand driers.

Tabasco is for wimps! I recommend 'Ten Minute Burn' - I've got a bottle and just a pin head's amount does what it says on the bottle and may well prove my theory about the alcohol gel!!

I'm more concerned that there are fewer bars - hot dogs can be brought into the bowl to be consumed so it doesn't really matter if you have to wait 15 minutes for one. If you wait fifteen minutes for a 'beer' then you're going to miss a portion of the match while you drink it. If I ever suffer such a fate then you can be certain my MP will be hearing about it.
