I don't understand why they can't still refer to them as Southampton. So, they can't take pictures - how many pictures would The Sun actually be printing (if they were able to) of Southampton's games anyway? How many pics do they print a year of our games?

Well they could but as Soton are really just trying to control the press, they've decided to offer them none whatsoever. It's petty but it is The Sun.

If S*********n can ban the press from their games, then the press can ban them from their papers. They might only print one picture a year of the S****s, but they're entitled to state their protest in this way, much as I hate the scummy daily comic they print.

Club ban on press photographers quietly lifted
The ban on press photographers attending games at Southampton Football Club appears to have been quietly dropped.

It's a victory for free speech (well, images) and common sense, and a big LOL @ Southampton.
