Half time is clearly an issue - perhaps not in the managers' instructions, but in how the team use it to reset and recover. Take tonight, sure, an unforced error, but the defending was sloppy. The goalscorer was unmarked, and directed a loose ball past the keeper.

Perhaps the other way of looking at it is that half time gives the opposition the opportunity to take stock and exploit our weaknesses better.

Well, we should do the same thing to the opposition, right?

If we're not then that's down to the manager.

Depends on the relative depths of weakness (vs opposition strengths), capacity to correct them, and ability to not create new ones.
We're not a great team underperforming - our fragilities run deep and will take more than online platitudes, kneejerk sackings and wishful thinking to correct.

At some stage, if this form continues and we're in the bottom three and under serious threat approaching the end of the season, the club will sack him regardless of what the fans are saying... I agree the problems at the club run far deeper than the manager but if you're staring down the barrel sometimes you have to take the most readily available option and try and use the typical boost of results to get you out of trouble.

Stick with Clement until the picture becomes clearer. Long way to go in the season yet. Attracting the right players isn't going to be easy. Developing players such as Meite is going to take time. We'll see them evolve warts and all. There's a really solid foundation for a league one team. There's a real gulf to the division below. As the premiership above.

If you went to the Sheff Weds cup tie last year. You'd know it's many of the players that don't perform consistantly enough rather than the manager's input.

Players should be able to turn around their form and usually do. It's a coach/manager's role to help them do that and good coaches/managers can. We do not have a squad full of inherently poor players, far from it.

When would you say you came to this realization? I don’t recall you embracing this prospect before under any previous managers?

Are you assuming Clement will still be here if we go down? (Not asking what you actually want, just want you think will happen).

But yeah Meite, (signed by previous mgr, rewarded with 4 year contract by this one), let’s hope for best.

When would you say you came to this realization? I don’t recall you embracing this prospect before under previous managers?

Time passes. As an example. Two years ago away at Rotherham. Kelly was subbed by Stam in the 21st minute. As was simply being brushed aside and bypassed. This season Kelly is no more effective. With no consistant impact on a game. A weak link that can be targeted and isolated.

Likewise I saw Swift play when he on loan at Swindon back in 2015. Really excited when he came to Reading. Not the same player now. Seems to have had the life sucked out of him.
