The totally bizarre County Ground, Northamption. It was shared by the football club and the county cricket club until 1994. I saw Reading play here in 1976 and stood behind a boundary rope on the touchline. A weird experience.

Yep, and Ian Bowyer far right. Both went on to win European Cup winners' medals. Player in between them is ex-Reading loanee Barry Butlin.

Not entirely certain. I was just doing an Internet search for photos of football being played during conflict and that one came up.

Would think it would be a London club though based on the size of the ground and the necessity to have the home guard on plane patrol.
