I, very obviously, wasn't saying that you aren't entitled to voice your opinion, simply that on occasions there will be times when you might prefer not to do so. My second post on the subject highlighted the concern that, if someone is very angry and you choose to challenge him as to the justification of that anger, an obvious consequence will be that that anger is then redirected to you - particularly if you had irritated them in some way either in the course of that challenge, or during the game.

Having read the replies to my posts, I cannot imagine where I might have got the impression that they were in any way irritated by you.

Moving away slightly from the let's bash Royal Lady avenue this thread is going down.....

All seater stadiums have a lot to answer for!! In the Elm Park days I would frequently be embarassed by some numbskull on the South Bank either by their comments directed to players, opposition fans, the game, showing their "opinion"; and if that was to happen I could easily move myself 10 feet away from said tool and continue my enjoyment of the game in peace.

Even up until the last 18 months in most parts of the ground you could still move seats easy enough, but with our success on the pitch you are stuck with your "neighbours" for good or bad.

So I have a lot of sympathy for RL and Schards; why should they have to put up with the law of the playground bully being forced on them when at football?

If they don't have the good grace to realise they were out of order in the heat of the moment when you see them at the next home game then they are clearly bell ends of the highest order.

Nothing wrong with showing passion, however misguided it may seem to others, but if I have ever been in the wrong with hindsight then at least I have been big enough to apologise afterwards.

Just so you know, they've already received one letter warning them about their behaviour apparently, therefore, it is perfectly feasible that if I did complain about them, they could well have their ST revoked. THE END.

I don't get this thread - you've got two yobs who are acting in an aggressive way towards a fan of OUR team and the majority here seem to think it's ok, or at least an occupational hazard of going to a football match. If you're old enough (like me unfortunately) you'll remember violence was an undercurrent of watching football in the late 70s and what a devastating effect it had on the game (those of you who winge about seated stadiums may want to think about that, at least we're not fenced in like animals these days).

I get wound up as much as the next fan after a game like last weekends, I'll argue the toss with somebody who I disagree with, but I won't threaten to punch somebody's lights out if they don't agree with me.

If anybody threatens me in that way I WILL report them.
