sorry no I wont be there, and I think we will sell out easily at this price, lots of younger fans will go as is cheaper than the league game and they will have a good chance of getting tickets, so long as all the grumpy ST holders dont snaffle em all up.

I'm not gonna go for £18 quid though.

If I lived in Reading, I would go. But as I live in London and the game is on Sky, I won't bother.

If it was a tenner then I'd go.

So in my case it's £250 ! Ouch !

I had always wondered about the mascots and where they came from. Hadn't considered the possibility it was yet another money-making scheme. In my naivety I thought they would be either deserving 'disadvantaged' local kids or the children of loyal season ticket holders as a thanks/introduction for the kids. Didn't realise they charged £250 a pop.

Home mascots have always been a 'money making scheme' - at least for the last 12-15 years.
Used to be really good vlaue - the package cost about what you got back in terms of kit / tickets / souvenirs and on top of that you got to meet the players, go on the pitch etc etc.

Still a really good day but the price has rocketed and what you get is less.

Away mascot used to be open to pretty much anyone who asked and could turn up in a full kit. Not sure how that one works now.

Away mascot used to be drawn free of charge from youngsters on the Young Royals Coach - provided they had full kit (home or away).

Talking of tight - I was amazed that the club and their sponsors didn't want to risk having to pay out 2 x £107 on the 'Play Your Shirt' right competition on Saturday. Instead they sent the third contestant packing without even having a chance to play! Pretty mean considering the odds are the contestants won't usually win anyway.

Fair play to the club on this one I think the price is about right although not happy about the whole South stand being given to them as half of it will be from Reading.

I just need to know the deadline date for buying a ticket for your season ticket seat
