Huntley & Palmer Anyway, regarding this poll. With the exception of Nistelrooy, who was the last striker out of Holland to actually go on and reproduce their form for their new club?

Bergkamp? Absolute legend and superb footballer.

Bergkamp was awful for Inter. It was only when he moved on to Arsenal, two or so years later, that he repeated his Ajax form.

Pierre van Hooijdonk scored bucketloads at Celtic and Forest and Benfica, but a better answer would be Roy Makaay who had a very successful career in Spain (Deportivo and one other, I forget which club) then at Bayern Munich. He's now back in the Neths at Feijenoord.

I was thinking Makaay actually, I saw him score an excellent hat-trick for Bayern against Ajax in the Champions League a few years back in Munich. Excellent finisher. So there are a couple of players in recent years that have done it, a hell of a lot more that haven't. It will be interesting to see how Huntelaar would do outside of the Dutch leagues, especially somewhere like Spain or England

I think he'd do well. He's quite similar to Van Nistelrooy. Same build, very calm finisher and good in the air.
