Which presumably is an arm of the club much more likely to turn a profit and therefore extremely useful as a source of income?Royal Lady wrote:I think Schards was getting at the bit about Expenditure in the accounts - there's no way that was all spent on the club, so Mr Mad must be spending it on the hotel. Or something.
Before you agree, i'd have had to have said it in the first place but, once again, you are simply making stuff up.Sun Tzu wrote:Have to agree Schards, it's crazy for the club to try and generate income from anything other than pure football.
Income is fine, this appears to be a 17 million capital expenditure.Silver Fox wrote:But surely that's better than relying solely on one income source isn't it? It's often been said that the only way to make a small fortune out of running a football club is to start with a large one, an extra revenue source is a good plan and it's not like it's completely unconnected to the club is it?
BTW would you want non-matchday income (conferences, concerts etc) from the stadium to be kept separate? What about the egg chasing money?

No one's stopping you from using it but you.
The £17m is what JM has loaned for the hotel I think, he is owed £9m in loans from RFC, so that is his money not money from the football club, I guess.Schards#2 wrote:Income is fine, this appears to be a 17 million capital expenditure.Silver Fox wrote:But surely that's better than relying solely on one income source isn't it? I say 'appears to be' as I can't decipher the accounts. So if anyone knows can they confirm:
Is the club and hotel all one company?
If so, did we spend 17 million on a hotel extention during a relegation season whilst spending next to nothing on players?
Does the football club benefit from the hotel's profits?
Is the football club responsible for the hotel's debts?
Would the club benefit from the sale of the hotel?
Is the hotel an asset on the club's balance sheet?
