Spurs will play better against Utd....Spurs thought they were home and dry for most of the game and nearly had the smile taken from their smug faces....however, I doubt they will be that bad v Utd.Archie's penalty wrote:I feel really sad for Burnley. Burnley deserved to go through and if Spurs play like that THEY will be battered by United. Burnley did the Championship proud and would have played well in the final.

So the top teams always have another chance in extra-time.handbags_harris wrote:Why is the League Cup the only competition to only count away goals after extra time? Any other competition, Burnley would have been through at full time.

Won't happen unfortunately but a good idea. Also some smaller clubs would prefer to play at the big teams to get the gate receipts surely?Stranded wrote:Bingo.Archie's penalty wrote:So the top teams always have another chance in extra-time.handbags_harris wrote:Why is the League Cup the only competition to only count away goals after extra time? To make it more interesting they should give each of the 92 clubs a seeding. Open draws in each round with teams coming in as they currently do. Lowest seeded team is always at home and its a one off tie.

Under the rules of the competition Spurs deserve to be in the final - the fact that the rules are very poor is by the by.bishbosh92 wrote:Not litrally robbed but no one can say that Spurs deserve to be in the final.Nick Shorey my Lord! wrote:How exactly were they robbed?bishbosh92 wrote:well Burnley were cruely robbed out of the Final today!!

I really have no idea why, but I found myself wanting Spurs to get through last night. Maybe it's jealousy of Burnley's achievement - I actually can't work it out to be honest.
