I have it on good authority that the FA will meet on Tuesday to discuss the future of administration stricken Southampton and rumour has it that they want to make an example of them to discourage future clubs from trying to use the holding company smokescreen to avoid any points deduction.
The club is set to go out of business with immediate effect as it won't be able to meet the league's requirements and they don't have enough money to even be able to fulfill their remaining fixtures
As a result the league will be forced to scrap Southamptons results for the games already played
This will mean that the following teams will have the following points deducted from their current totals:
Wolves 3pts
Brum 6pts
Reading 1pt
Sheff Utd 4pts
Which will have the new table looking like this:
Wolves 74pts
Reading 68pts
Brum 66pts
Sheff Utd 65pts
Burnley 63pts...
What a result....
