I work with BC ST holder. They're all coming down Saturday and will be drinking in Dogma before the game. 5,000ish coming down apparently.

If they're going to be drinking from Saturday I doubt many of them will be capable of causing trouble by the time the game starts on Sunday

Don't patronise me. You implied that all those without tickets (i.e. thousands of ticketless Brummies) wouldn't get near the ground - you were asked how this would be implemented but didn't respond and now you're saying that BTP, WMP and TVP will be checking EVERYONE's ticket? Where? When? Then you decide that saying thousands of ticketless brummies doesn't mean ALL of them, and that one bloke might sneak in under the radar.

It's hardly my fault if you play the fool and deliberately misinterpet others comments (it's also hardly a surprise....).

At no time did I state or imply all those without tickets won't get near the ground, but I did say that there won't be thousands. Partly because thousands won;t come. But partly becasue of thousands do try it will be spotted very early (in fact it will be known already). Trying to spot one person would be impossible (and pointless as it's not an offence to be without a ticket in the vicinity of a football stadium) but thousands represent a major public order issue and they would simply intercept coaches and stop people leaving the station and send them back if there was the risk of it happening.

I wonder what you'll suggest I said next that I didn't mention - your racking up a fairnumber of invented comments..

If Clive Doyle is anything to go by, quite easy. In the case of Boxing Day, you just say "3k Cardiff fans here today, we don't want any confrontation", thereby letting them rip up seats, piss on seats, invade the pitch and be shoved back in the stand etc etc.

If I recall, last season some visiting Blues fans were particularly unpleasant. They've never been the nicest of souls, but traditionally over the years, even as far back as the seventies, 'last day of the season' for followers of Brum has traditionally been eventful. Crystal Palace away comes to mind, Adolf Hitler on the pitch swapping blows. Quite funny really. But last season outside the Mad I saw a group of them set about some younger, quite passive looking Reading fans until they were dissuaded by some older more...erm, physically imposing Royals. I'd classify Blues as still being a club more than capable of attracting a large element who can be quite volatile 'without any provocation' and so Sunday's pressure cooker atmosphere can only assist in bringing them to the boil. Stewards? I've yet to see at Reading that would convince me that the vast majority of them have any use as soon as there is a major public order incident. A volatile football crowd 'at it' as Cardiff were at Christmas and to an extent Bristol City's mob (although probably in terms of violence a good job for the sake of reasonable peace they won that day) always appears to expose our stewards' limitations. It's at that point that the constabulary are generally required.

If things don't go City's way on Sunday I think the potential for disorder is quite strong. A few tempers have been fraying at St. Andrews this season. It's usually at the dog end of a season their lesser-restrained boys and girls let off steam. They were protesting on the pitch last year and it got reasonably nasty when they went down. And against Preston last week more similar.

Yes, do up your tabards tight around those straining bellies boys and girls. Your 'stewarding skills' may well be called upon in some kind of depth, if you get my Rorke's Drift.

Worst scenario is we get promoted twats run on the pitch and start to think it's a good idea to gloat at the Brum fans, this will lead to seats being ripped up coins thrown mass punch ups with stewards and old bill. Will get very messy.

Might not be that bad, they have less than 2,000 tickets (1,400 I read somewhere, not sure if thats true) and they have let quite a few 'corporate' supporters have tickets. one example is they charged £99 for a ticket, coach journey and lunch at Newbury race course
