Had to laugh the other day when watching some of the CL game from OT. After one of the goals they focussed on four blokes all wearing this year's replica kits, with the green&gold scarves wrapped around their necks. I thought one of the main points of the G&G protest was to not buy any official club merchandise, especially replica kits?

Yep, that was the point I was trying to make in my original post, which - on re-reading it - I concede that perhaps I didn't make clear enough. This was a whole block of supporters in repLOLica shirts and jester's hats too, not clueless, isolated individuals.

So, good to see the almost complete absence of green and gold from the opening game this season. Plenty of shirts with A-ON on the front and not an empty seat to be seen.

I don't think this is anything new. A friend of mine rang the ticket office about 3 years ago asking if there were any season tickets left in the Stretford End and they asked him where he'd like to sit. I think that was in summer 2007.
