May not be the greatest of all time (I wasn't born when Forest won the CL so cannot comment), is Deffo up there with the best moment i have personally witnessed in sports (with Milan Liverpool cl final and a few others). It is just unbelievable even thinking about it still doesn't seem realexileinleeds wrote:Who is that twat on Sky claiming it is the greatest sporting story of all time....
Brian Clough and Forest fans everywhere will be spinning in their graves.
When they win the CL next season, they will have come close.
Fully expecting JT to turn up at the KP on Saturday after Chelseas contribution to their cause.
Whereas I was not in any way even vaguely interested in football in the 70/80's.... but Barbara Clough was a friend of my mothers, and her, her husband and kids used to come to parties at ours....he was a bit famous. Consult the AE spreadsheet for the details of the amusing* anecdote.double d wrote:May not be the greatest of all time (I wasn't born when Forest won the CL so cannot comment), is Deffo up there with the best moment i have personally witnessed in sports (with Milan Liverpool cl final and a few others). I can't remember whether I actually meant this or not... but I'm bloody delighted for the points deduction inspiring, plucky little underdogs.Ian Royal wrote:(Kiss of doom) I think they'll do it.

I wonder how Pearson feels... but for a couple of moments of madness and a naughty son, he could have lifted the Premier League trophy today.
Yeah this basically. Blackburn threw a load of cash on the team that won the league.Tails wrote:Akin to Blackburn winning it in the 1990s?

Pull the other one, They broke the transfer record to bring in Shearer, finished fourth, second and then went on to win it.

In an era when money talks, for Leicester to win the league is phenomenal - its reflective in the odds....
Rubbish Blackburn spent millions were 2nd the previous season. Shearer turned down Man Utd to join Blackburn. Walker bought the title Leicester have not.AthleticoSpizz wrote:Much akin to when Blackburn won it.......not totally unique....but a real collectors piece nonetheless

Exactly. It doesn't.double d wrote:It is just unbelievable even thinking about it still doesn't seem real
Don't think they would have won it under him. Ranieri is just a tactical genius. They have basically the same team as last season bar Kante, Okazaki etc and they have just switched around. Must be the manager.Ian Royal wrote:I can't remember whether I actually meant this or not... but I'm bloody delighted for the points deduction inspiring, plucky little underdogs.Ian Royal wrote:(Kiss of doom) I think they'll do it.
