This Utd team is the worst I’ve seen since the 80s

I think this is now official in terms of points gained.
Their team yesterday cost something like £400,000,000 after Pogba came on and they are now equal on points with a Newcastle team strongly tipped for relegation and 3 points below a newly promoted side in Sheffield Utd , a team that cost less than a tenth of theirs.

Sad old days indeed.

It’s clear as day where their problems lay. Their record against the top teams is superb

They have the players to play on the counter, Martial, James, Rashford etc but they have no creative players to break teams down when they sit in

Pogba may help but at the very least they need one more creative midfielder and a natural striker. Lingard, McTominay and Fred is a woeful trio although at least McTominay isn’t awful

Rem, I asked a while ago how Liverpool broke down park the bus teams that was different from United

Both have a high press, quick on the break style and neither has had a creative midfielder (Pogba out most of the season so far)

Other than having better* players the only real difference I see is your full-backs put much better delivery into the box (obvs much more to it than this just cba at the mo)

What seems odd to me is that for Man Utd games the commentators go on about how good certain players have been lately and then the team loses again to somebody not particularly good.

Tbf so is Alexander Arnold. Just goes to show that if you have a good enough manager tactically, which Klopp is and Solskjaer is not, you can hide a players deficiencies.
