Good luck to the chap in his new role. For half a season he created something outstanding, it’s a shame Dai had run out of money at that time, and then VP got found out a bit. But some of those teams he had to field second year….bloody hell. That team we lost 7-0 to Fulham with was as poor a side ever put out in that division

Always like him as a person so hope he goes on to do well

Had a look at the sides we played against Kidderminster and Fulham:
Kidderminster Rafael (31)
Tetek (19) - Holmes (21) - Holzman (18) - Bristow (20)
Drinkwater (31) - Osorio (19)
Camara (18) - Dele-Bashiru (22) - Halilovic (25)
Puscas (25)

Subs on: Stickland (18); Araruna (25); Rinomhota (24); Laurent (26); Azeez (20)

Fairly certain Laurent played centre-back when he came on; Araruna lasted about five minutes before getting injured after coming off the bench; Halilovic lasted forty minutes.

Fulham Southwood (24)
Tetek (19) - Holmes (21) - Dann (34) - Bristow (20)
Drinkwater (31) - Laurent (26)
Dele-Bashiru (22) - Swift (26) - Hoilett (31)
Carroll (33)

Subs on: Rinomhota (24); Camara (18); Puscas (25)

Scott Dann got injured after seven minutes, with Camara replacing him - so Laurent went centre-back again (IIRC). The other centre-back option was eighteen year-old Michael Stickland. Rinomhota came on at right-back.

Two awful teams in hindsight. Seems we were missing (from the regulars that season): Yiadom; Morrison; Rahman; Ejaria; Joao; McIntyre; Moore and Meite. No wonder it all fell apart around then.

Oh look. Shitwater in both sides.

Whoever decided to extend Dann's contract and release Morrison should be shot.

yep, this.

‘Left us’ quietly, dignified, and with a win.

He’s doing better than us right now

I lose track of the order of clueless wasters we've had... but didn’t he get booted and we had to have Ince's dad come in and save us from a relegation we were sleep walking into under him?

And wasn't his success almost entirely down to Joao playing like a PL star for six months before missing two penalties break his hip and becoming a clogger?

yes, he got ‘booted’ four points from his last two games iirc.

Dealt a hand like a foot in his last days and maybe having the last laugh now?

Bit harsh. Trying to remember the dates but he had Richards playing the best football of his career, that Rino/Laurent pivot, Ejaria playing well. Didn’t have a lot of Swift when he was good I don’t think. Even got Aluko contributing. Meite playing well

(May be wrong on some of these, was a while ago…)

He did lose the plot - but as mentioned - those teams he had to field…awful.

He had lost the previous 8 (EIGHT) games in a row though, having gone 12 (TWELVE) games without a win prior to his last game.

Losing 20 out of 34 games is stupendously bad, even dealt a rough hand.

Hasn’t done him too much harm, evidently.
Lessons learnt, no doubt.
