So that's 10 first team players (I'm not counting Andresson yet, so I make it 9 but going off what you've said). Can't really account for the others just because we believe they could/should be part of the first team, no guarantee at this stage to say whether they will be.Snowflake Royal wrote:Depends how you define them.YorkshireRoyal99 wrote:Yeah 26 players but most will be academy players from the U23's and possibly even U18's. We don't have that many first team players as it is. Bit of a pain for those who may end up joining as we are in Spain currently.
Bouzanis, Andresson, Yiadom, Holmes, McIntyre, Guiness-Walker, Hutchinson, Ejaria, Azeez, Carroll are all undisputedly first team players. That's 10.
Abrefa, Jahmari, Ehibhatiomhan, Camara all have mutlipe first team appearances and plenty of squad involvement. They should be expected to be part of the first team squad. That's 14.
Abbey, Senga, Craig, Boyce-Clarke, John Clarke have all made their debut and mostly been part of multiple first team squads. And should be expecting to compete for they first team squad. That's 19.
Dorsett is just back from a loan he should be expected as first team. That's 20.
There's hardly many makeweights
1st team (these are the more experienced pros you'd expect to be vying for the first team and not playing in academy teams unless on the way back from injury)YorkshireRoyal99 wrote:So that's 10 first team players (I'm not counting Andresson yet, so I make it 9 but going off what you've said). The only one's I'd say with a degree of accuracy probably will be are Dorsett (assuming he signs) and Andresson. So at best we are saying 11, including both of those.
The rest are U23 players fighting to break into the first team still. Making your debut or having a few appearances doesn't make you a first team squad member for me personally, just because they could be. All will become clear over the next few weeks though I'm sure.
Yeah, looks like a decent enough 1st 11, hopefully some of the youngsters can step up, especially with the drop in League.skipper wrote:GK - Bouzanis

Does that look about right? Doesn't look bad on paper. But that is the entire squad, not including youth team. And only Anderson as a substitute.
Evidently we will need to sign a few, but it would be great to promote some of these youth players properly. Clarke, CBC etc
Ok, so you're arbitrarily choosing to ignore multiple players who have been regulars in first team.squads and made multiple appearances.YorkshireRoyal99 wrote:So that's 10 first team players (I'm not counting Andresson yet, so I make it 9 but going off what you've said). Cool.
Happy to ignore you.
I included Dorsett and Andresson as the one's who are probably already in the first team. Outside of that, (at best) at the moment the only ones that might be involved are Senga and Abrefa, the rest I think will be U23 or out on loan.Hound wrote:You think just one of Ehib, Dorsett, Clarke, Camara, Craig, Abrefa, Senga, Jahmari, Carson will be involved in the first team next year? If our youth keepers are both to be loaned -Hound wrote: ...Jokull will look to be loaned out
CBC if he signs will be third choice or loaned out
That’s my own bit of guess work
Sounds like Knibbs and Walcott are in Spain. That’s two. And reckon the lot out there will be a bit percentage of the sideRoyal_jimmy wrote:Need to start making some signings quickly. At this rate the team won't even have began gelling by the time the season starts.
