agreed.. and can see why we signed him. Not to for closing down (we have younger players to do that) but to make the right move/pass from deep m/field... Good goal by East to make it 4-3.. ...great game for the boys

No matter what, we have to be proud of the boys. By now we would have been embarrassed something silly under a Stam and Clement team. Can only be good for the whole team going into the season.

Safe to say that many of them and the keeper dropping them will be quickly shuffled into obscurity.

Great game for us. Have to be proud for the boys. We played our game well, made Chelsea work hard, linked up well, got forward with speed, scored some good goals. Still not convinced on both keepers but Walker takes the no.1 for me next week.

Last 20 mins was poor compared to everything that went before, but certainly every reason to be optimistic.

Need to sort the keeping out.

Disappointed in Howe and Holsgrove.

Ridiculous goal given away by Walker, and I'm sure that Moore didn't foul Giroud for the free kick, but what a strike from Barkley.

Only watched the second half but quite entertaining with mistakes all over the place.
Somebody back from the game should be able to give us a better impression of how it felt and how individuals performed-watching online provides only a sketchy idea of what has been going on.

Really good showing against a top team who probably did all they had to do with a little help from one of our keeper (imo) . looks like the playing out when the ball doesn't need to leave the penalty area from goal kicks might have to be looked at.
Teams are just going to press us as high as it gets.

I think the criticism of Virginia is a bit unfair judging on 45 minutes, we all know Walker isn't the answer.
