Derby's administrators are lodging an appeal against the 12 point deduction for going into administration.

If that is rescinded then the EFL will NEVER be able to impose any punishment and FFP will be shot to pieces.

I can't work out whether I want that to succeed or fail.

One wonders what grounds they have to appeal that considering it’s hardly the first time it’s been applied to clubs in administration.

Don't blame them for trying but it is a clear rule. Admin = 12pts, not sure there are any exceptions.

So basically they are toast. They traditionally start well and then fall away. Regardless of points deduction they have not started well at all. Surely players will back off now and some will look to leave, relying on the youth somewhat. Planning for League One surely.

Even with 9 i genuinely believe we will be fine and somehow we can regroup, rebuild, and go again.

HMRC have been absolutely militant with clubs in the past in trying to shut one down to stop the rest screwing them.
