For refererence the North Stand is the end to the right of the away side area, and the expansion will take place into the existing car park behind the stand. The Trinity Road is the three tier stand opposite the away side area (opposite the TV gantries and where the tunnel is)

Drove past Bramley Moor on Monday evening. The stands are beginning to take some shape. Tried to take some photos but the site gates were shut and couldn't get a decent shot but it's at this stage

The 'Gilbert and Rose' West Stand. Absolutely nothing wrong with it unless you're offended for the sake of being offended and want to make something out of nothing.

Not sure anyone's actually offended more LOLing at the club for dropping a bollock with an obvious PR gaffe. It makes the club look a bit dumb and you just know people would call it the Serial Killer Stand, Fred West Stand or something in a similar vein.

There's been uproar online. The usual Karen's, and many of which not even supporters of the football club.

Anfield Road stand coming along nicely. I think the roof truss which was installed a couple of weeks back is about 300 tonnes.

The demolition of the existing roof is planned in for the WC break Nov/Dec.









As for Everton, they're apparently 3 months ahead of schedule due to the good weather.

I have mentioned on here before that I have an Argie work colleague who I chat football with and he told me when he went back home he took his kids to a game there and did a pre match tour of the ground. Said the dressing room tunnel (not sure if for only away or both teams) come out under the home fans and the fans are encouraged to jump up and down. The noise is so loud and the impact on the structure visible that when you are in the tunnel it feels like its going to collapse on you. Its become ritual that home fans do this as its considered them playing their part in frightening the away players

I think we can see what the impact is now though!

I had the fortune (if that’s the right word) to be in the Olympic Stadium in Rio for a game.
When a goal was scored it was like being on a bouncy castle
In completely unsurprising news the stadium was shut for repairs when part of the roof collapsed

Related. Many moons ago - probably 15 years or so. I used to know someone who worked for the government in homeland security. And he used to look at satellite images of countries that posed a threat to the uk. They used it find it difficult to work out the scale of the images of interest and would pan out and use cricket wickets for scale, as they would always be the same size they could then use these to measure the stuff they were looking at. I imagine these days it’s all automated and they don’t need to do this anymore. I found it interesting anyway…
