Also, Hi plasticroyale.

Because they're caaaaaaants. No Fixed Abode wrote:Why do both Celtic and Liverpool sing You'll never walk alone?
They sing songs about the IRA (modern or otherwise) to provoke and offend. A scummy thing to do by a set of scummy knuckle dragging supporters.St Pauli wrote: When Celtic fans sing IRA are they remembering the struggle for independence in the 20s or expressing support for the CIRA and continued armed struggle today?
Some do it to provoke I'm sure, but there are many who go out of their way to explain how they hate sectarianism (take a look at any copy of Green Brigade's fanzine) but also sing these songs. How do you explain that?Stuka wrote:They sing songs about the IRA (modern or otherwise) to provoke and offend. They were at it again for the cup final, commentator reluctantly referred to it at half time. It is inflammatory and they know it.

I never said anything about 'Ten German Bombers' a song I actually find kind of annoying.St Pauli wrote:So when it's 'Ten German Bombers' its football banter but when its 'Celtic symphony' its sectarian bigotry?
I don't dislike 'Ten German Bombers' personally and its actually sung quite a lot by St Pauli fans to wind up Nazis in Germany. I just don't see why everyone gets so worked up about Celtic when fans all over the country sing really offensive stuff all the time.
I genuinely LOLd at that!Big Foot wrote:Chaos at parkhead tonight, apparently the key for the trophy cabinet is in Tommy Burns' pocket
