Pretty sure Swansea were quite close to blowing FFP out of the water until they shifted the likes of Ayew. It's why they've been consistently lower mid table for the last couple of years after 3 years of challenging for the playoffs.

Interesting that my understanding is that if Forest get relegated the EFL are waiting for them with more charges after they trashed FFP in their promotion season.

Everton & Forest both hit a threshold to mean they get a 6 point deduction, but Forest had 2 of those points given back as they co-operated with the PL over it, while Everton didn't.

Seen a lot of people complaining it is unfair that Forest got done because they held on until the last minute to get maximum value for Johnson whilst knowing they were likely to breach if they didn't bring in funds before the end of June.

This is being used as a "how is it fair that a team has to sell their best player just to meet this arbitary cap". You could have a bit of sympathy for that position if Forest hadn't gone out and signed something like 40 new players upon promotion. If they had been a bit more targeted in their recruitment and gone for quality over quantity, then they would very likely have met the threshold regardless of when the Johnson sale went through.

Things really starting to finally catch up with this club? Really don't feel they've a leg to stand on yet they've still got a decent chance to stay up even after this deduction. Hoping the FL get the chance to throw their book at them in the summer.

Everton & Forest both hit a threshold to mean they get a 6 point deduction, but Forest had 2 of those points given back as they co-operated with the PL over it, while Everton didn't.

Seems also to be a bit of consternation about the fact the Forest penalty was made up of two counts of 3 point offences, then got 2 added back on, whereas the Everton punishment went straight to a single offence of 6 points.

Twitter also suggesting Forest might be in for further points deductions too for further FFP/P&S missed targets

Has to be given the precedents already set by the FL. Won't really have any effect on their league position though, if they lost 4 points now they'd drop to 15th.

Morecombe's owner woes continue as they are the latest to be put under a registration embargo for failure to pay tax on time. The owner there essentially refuses to finance the club sufficiently or sell for a realistric sum. Sounds familiar.

Wigan and Bolton both nominally fined (Bolton £2.5k and Wigan £9k) for failing to control their players after their recent game, seems Bolton players started a punch up after the final whistle and the Bolton manager joined in! Wigan got the bigger fine as it's the 5th time in 2 years they've been done for misconduct. Players better watch themselves on Monday!
