shifting over my conversation from the Euro football thread about my new adventure of going to see a load of lower league grounds. which teams/grounds would you like to visit in tiers 3-5 if you could?

when looking within 2 hours or so from home I have Cheltenham & Forest Green quite high on my list for nearer ones. Notts County would be one too if I am going further

Carlisle is an absolutely brilliant ground - a proper old-school standing paddock in front of the main stand.

Accrington is also very much on my "must-see" list.

I went to see an evening game at Accrington when I was up there for work a few Years ago, v Darlington - 1,180 fans there (lowest crowd I have been in for a professional game) though to be fair it absolutely chucked down with rain all night. Tidy little ground and friendly locals.

Went to Cheltenham when we had those FA Cup games against them in the late 1990's.

The whole G Morton thing was done to death here, 10, maybe 15 years ago…the hoops, the EP similarities etc etc.

We had some ‘good-day’ opportunities in that time to build some twinning links….but never did.

Except back then Morton was run by a broke and autocratic, inward-looking owner. Now it's run by its supporters and actively looking to do a lot more community-based stuff as well as growing its supporter-base and improving its communications.

Looks like Chelsea are exploring options at playing somewhere else if SB is going to be updated.

Sounds like the options are:

Wembley
Twickenham
Craven Cottage
London Stadium
Select Car Leasing Stadium

Would imagine it'll be one of the top two.

I would love to see a team play at twickenham. Surprised it’s not happened sooner but did hear it was due to the number of games etc that are allowed to be played there, planning rules etc. imagine that would be Chelsea’s first choice.
