Surprisingly i know them, they got given a section 27 what was an order to leave of something. His brother had been kicked out at some point during the first half, so he was riled up. That's what he told me anyway.royalexile wrote:Yet there was a home supporter escorted out of the ground for protesting that very reason. TBH he did deserve to go after repeated warnings but so should the away supporters. Pack mentality rules though, and it's seemingly less inciteful to go after the home support.
Do we know there were no arrests - the technique used by the staff at the Mad Stad is to take away fans out when they go to the concourse rather than wade in and take them out of the stand.jonboy29red wrote:no arrests? so why did the police come in to y26 and escort a person out? more like they was to scared to go in to the cardiff fans and nick a few
Yup all 9 of them were there to help the stewards with 1 kid in his late teens.royalexile wrote:Clealy not in the scenario outlined above. I take it this expired or was he seen taunting everyone by hiding in the bushes.Big Foot wrote:He got a 24 hour ban from the stadium
The police get to define the number of police required for every match, because they do the risk assessments. There are very few clubs who have the balls to stand up to them and say "no" - because it'll rebound on them if something happens.Big Foot wrote:Yup all 9 of them were there to help the stewards with 1 kid in his late teens.royalexile wrote:Clealy not in the scenario outlined above. Somebody somewhere must be overseeing the amount of £££ spent on football policing vs the net result and thinking - why are we effectively throwing so much money away?
The presence was heavy handed but the actions were not. What was more inciteful was this whole scenario with the Cardiff support behind taunting - doing anything they so choose to. This seemed to be the point the kid ejected was making. Entering the exclusion area is clearly not on for the home support yet the away support can get to the barriers with minimum effort. Extend that frigging netting onto the other side!!!!Big Foot wrote:Yup all 9 of them were there to help the stewards with 1 kid in his late teens.royalexile wrote:Clealy not in the scenario outlined above. i.e. a load of them stood there collecting their easiest overtime pay cheque yet - with you and I being the mugs footing the bill.royalexile wrote:The presence was heavy handed but the actions were not.Big Foot wrote:Yup all 9 of them were there to help the stewards with 1 kid in his late teens.royalexile wrote:Clealy not in the scenario outlined above. Tbf, they'd normally bring them into Loddon Valley custody m8.Royal Lady wrote:Well seeing as my mole is the custody bloke at Reading and he was able to finish his shift on time because there NO ARRESTS at the game - I'm pretty sure THERE WERE NO ARRESTS.
So what happens if they don't go into concourse at half time and i'm sure they wouldn't even try with a large Cardiff following.starliaison wrote:Do we know there were no arrests - the technique used by the staff at the Mad Stad is to take away fans out when they go to the concourse rather than wade in and take them out of the stand.jonboy29red wrote:no arrests? so why did the police come in to y26 and escort a person out? more like they was to scared to go in to the cardiff fans and nick a few
I went to a stewarding exercise this year and they are a lot more active than is apparent from when you are watching the game. I still think we should be given some stats on arrests and ejections both for the home and the away stands as it would stop some misunderstandings given the way they work but still no luck.
