Now IN for this. Quick question that despite having gone to 100s of football matches in my life I'm not completely sure of the answer... I'm going to this game on the train on my way to visit friends in Manchester. I'll have a big holdall with me - has anyone ever had problems getting them in a ground before, or does anyone know if clubs offer places to look after them during the game? It won't have anything that they deem a 'weapon' in, but it'll probably be bigger than your average rucksack so won't be able to tuck it under a seat or anything like that. I imagine with smaller and friendlier clubs you can leave it at their reception, but this is the glitzy giant of the Premier League where the needs of fans come well down the priority list...

I would try all I could to avoid bringing a big holdall. Clubs don't like looking after them incase there's a bomb inside.

At Reading you'd probably be all right if you bought a seat for your holdall. So long as it's an adult.

I can confirm there is NO left luggage facility at Stoke-on-Trent railway station, so don't bother considering that option.

Did this at Plymouth a few years back (the 2-2 game, not the horror show). They had a quick look in it but were otherwise fairly relaxed.
