Its not the football, success ot not that will influence me, its the distinct lack of appreciation or thought for the fans.
The Cup Semi ticketing was at best awful but todays news has left me absolutely enraged......

the cup semi final ticketing that allowed anyone who wanted one to get one?

realistically the semi final was at worst slightly inconvenient for a small number of people, and for the huge majority went pretty well.
Obviously individuals assume that because their own personal requirements weren't met everyone else had the some perception....
And didn't they do Blackburn tickets for £10/£5 ?

Once we are mathematically safe in the division the club will be able to confirm which budgetary model they'll be following so hopefully that'll be in the next couple of weeks or so at the latest.

I have heard a rumour that the club were trying to initiate a ST pricing schedule based on loyalty, therefore the more years that you have been a ST holder then the greater discount on your 2015/16 renewal.

They use a similar model in Germany and they show an increase in ST sales year after year!

I can't see there would be much of a discount possible, and it would just be paid for by a general increase in prices.
Nice idea, and if it retains STH than excellent, but is £5 or £10 a year really going to change many minds

Doing my John Lennon impersonation for a moment - just imagine the below:

- Season tickets £200 adults, £100 concession, £50 child

- All tickets are £20 adult, £10 concession, £5 children.

- A wide selection of drinks available all at £3 a pint.

- A wide range of food trucks all charging half as much as they do now.

- A programme for £1.

Exactly how much would the above cost the club really? Maybe a Pog's like players wage for a season? I'm serious.

Well, going on 12,000 STHs at lets say 70% adults, 10% children, 20% concessions that would be (ignoring Upper West prices).

£4.938m vs £1.98m. So £57k a week on Season tickets alone. Probably about twice Pog's wages.

So given we can't afford the squad we've got it'd be a terrible idea. Unless someone gets the whole of football in order and player's wages are slashed proportionately more the higher you go, with more of the PL TV money funding lower division teams too.

I honestly don't think price influences people as much as you think.

If I want to go a match and its £20 rather than £35 then great but I'd buy a ticket anyway.

If a season ticket was £200 instead of 375 it wouldn't bother me much. If I want one I'd get it.

I'm not sure those that maybe are on the fence would be persuaded.

If we are playing Huddersfield at home we are gonna pull in roughly the same amount either way.

Even if you slashed prices down to £1 a ticket I don't think you'd fill the stadium, you may get 1000 more but it depends on marketing.

People have to be interested and invested in the club.

The things they have done this season is Good I think. Ultimately I do think the club are connecting with fans better. The whole throwing a fan out in Y19 was handled well. The support for us getting behind the team. Stewards being more relaxed jn Y25/26 - can't speak for other areas but I remember about 5 years ago they'd constantly tell you to sit down.

Probably renew especially as it will be the last season to buy a kids ticket for my son at the ridiculously cheap prices. The cup run has made made it tricky this year with lots more midweek games as a result, meaning I've missed more games than I would like

There's a junior ticket though isn't there which is kind of in between?

Me and my two boys will be buying our first ST this year. Theyve not really been old enough before now. Was tempted to get a half season ticket at xmas but the "Buy an adult ticket and get 2 U7 tickets for free" made it cheaper to buy tickets per game

Your maths for current prices is a bit out there.

Current Prices

Adult @ £375 = 12000 * 0.70 = £3.15m
Concession @ £250 = 12000 * 0.2 = £0.6m
Child @ £99 = 12000 * 0.1 = £0.19m
Total = £3.94m.

If we take account of West stand and new STHs paying an extra £20 then we probably get to about £4.25m. After VAT deductions it's £3.542m

With my suggested prices you do indeed bring in £1.98m, or £1.65m after tax.

So the different is really about £1.9m. £36k a week. Given that RFC will have to pay NI and other associated costs of employing a player it's probably one £32k a week player. Pog is on more than that.

And that assumes that there is NO increase in STHs at all (very unlikely)
