Hidden in this tweet congratulating Rinomhota on returning to Reading -

When asked if he'd be next, Meite replied:
One day will be back for sure

Perhaps he’s just got a couple of tickets for the Rotherham game

Reckon he’d have done quite a good job as that target man we need

Had to check, but he's still in the Saudi league with Damac - although he hasn't played since late September. Wonder if he's injured again.

Hmmm talk of Yak returning makes me wonder about a most likeable XI.

.......................Shaka
Yiadom, Mbengue, McPherson, Armstrong
Knibbs, Parkinson, Gooding, McAnuff
.................Meite, NHunt

Stick Meite on the right instead of Knibbs and put Shane Long in up front.

I was struggling in midfield a bit, as nice as he seemed, I feel there's a minmum game time there somewhere he can't meet

Hmm.... Not sure about the defence, Sonko, Ivar surely in with a shout.

Salako out wide? Bobby Convey? Jay Tabb? Sean Long?

We've had a lot of nice players. Would rather create a Tuesdays XI.

Al-Habsi on the bench.

A few years back a mate of mine got shown around a house by Mick Gooding. Apparently he was really good with my mate's young daughter, asking her if she liked the house and about school and stuff in a genuine and non-patronising way. Left a lasting impression on his wife and daughter, which is nice.

Yeah, really nice bloke Mick. Me and my lad used to go round the corner, down Purley way, and play footie with him and his lad, Tom.

Without trying to sound too nostalgic, I think he comes from a time when footballers were a bit closer to a pound note and largely didn't have a huge ego. He seems very down to earth.

That is such a tough task - we have had so many really likeable players over the years. Just a few of those missing out - Marcus, Murty, Sidwell, Salako, Blakey.

How can that team not include Blakey?
