Wonder if this will have any influence on Mbengue staying? We can but hope...Chameleon wrote:https://x.com/EdRyding/status/1936081572454711507
To be honest I can see this happening, and providing we offer very sensible money I think it's a no brainer - we know he can score, we know he'll fit in and given his torrid past few years he's probably keen to get back somewhere where he can feel some love. Plus our current attacking options consist entirely of Doreen from catering.

Good point. I'm in!Orion1871 wrote:Pepe the Horseman wrote:Love the guy but he hasn't had a good season since Covid has he? Won't be mad if he does come back, but can see him having a similar season to Shane Long.
Yeah, but he's got a lovely smile xx
Whatever happened to that guy? Was actually an Arsenal fan iirc.Brogue wrote:My best memory of the yak was when new cork Seth? Offered to buy his mum some flowers when his dad died
Nah, Seth was the Irish guy workingin the Irish embassy in Paris. You're think AscotexGunner, who used to be an arsenal fan, then switched to us but remained an arsePepe the Horseman wrote:Whatever happened to that guy? Na, AsoctexGunner is an ex Arsenal fan. Seth is a closet Arsenal fan.Snowflake Royal wrote:Nah, Seth was the Irish guy workingin the Irish embassy in Paris. Would have to be the biggest pair of wingers ever.Snowflake Royal wrote:On their day, Yaks and Big Kelvin E will utterly destroy L1 fullbacks.
I don’t think its fair at all to say he was often poor with a few purple patches.TiagoIlori wrote:Would rather we avoided on the basis that I feel it would be sentimental than actual ability.
If my memory serves me right, often he was a poor player for us and had 1 or 2 purple patches a season. If we want to get promoted we need players who can deliver consistently. He is a big personality which we liked here but sounds like it was downfall at Cardiff which also concerns me.
We can’t just bring in players not good enough for the division above on the basis that “they’d do a job in league one”. If he’s genuinely the best option we have then fair enough, but feel we should be looking for those who already play in the division.
