Bit of a dilemma though Schards - I know switching teams is against the law, but I guess I've gone and done it now.

How can I be plastic Sharp Shooter? I've been going to games for years, not many I grant you, but I have been going. Where am I supposed to start being a fan - buy 10 tickets a season, then 15, then add away games, or what?

I'm not actually complaining about the price increases, as such, and will certainly renew next year. What made me think that the club is exploiting the fans (or at least some of them) is that although on the official site they state that they are going to make it easier for children to come to games <<cliche mode on>> they are, after all the future of our club<<cliche mode off>>, and in the same article they take away one of the important things that made it easier for children to come. This is what makes me think that this is just a short-term measure to capitalise on the fans' loyalty and that there probably isn't a long-term strategy.

You talk about Charlton. If I was buying a season ticket at Charlton this year, I would pay 950 (550 + 200 + 200) for their most expensive seats.All this for an established Prem club. Add to this I would be getting free travel up to Middlesbrough tonight; I would be able to buy a coach season ticket for 75 which would pick me up from sites as far away as the Kent coast on match days. Their child prices are for under-18's, not under-16's.

What a way to run a football club, eh? Surely they should be trying to wring the last penny they possibly can out of their fans!!

Charlton have done superbly - but how many years has it taken them to get to that point ?

I hope we can follow their example - but I think it's been a hard road to get to where they are now financially...

There is 5 of us that have been going to Reading games for the last however many years but due to the ticket increase i am the one that can afford to renew next year. We all have jobs its just the money could be spent elsewhere. IF you were in my position would you go for a whole season on your own to see your team play in the top flight or not go?

I'm going to struggle to pay over £1000 but it'll be worth it.

If only 80% of current STHs renew then the club will benefit (for this year at least) in single match tickets.

If you're going to renew your ticket anyway then just do it.

Don't know but I was told that rather than a DD scheme they will use the same as away ST, namely you give them ccard/dcard details and they take the money in (IIRC) 6 equal instalments. HTH

Single fee of £25 added to the the amount, as last year. This covers the admin costs to the club of the multiple people who change bank accounts and don't tell them, or have DDs that bounce for whatever reason.

Considering the likes of Tredder and various other camp followers are entitled to vote the results are subject to probably a 50% margin of error....

so over 100 will not renew?
