An idea to help reduce the congestion (albeit one for someone with more technical ability and time than me) would be to set up a car sharing website for both home and away travel.

There are a huge amount of cars with only one or two passengers all heading for the stadium.

It won't solve the problem but it would help.

Good idea in theory but with RFC's grasp of technology etc. you'd probably end up sharing a car with a Chelski fan heading up to Manchester!

Great idea but....

Do you remember our first Boxing Day game for years, no public transport so STAR offered to arrange a car sharing for that game. Like to guess how many we had asking for a lift? Well we had 100% hit rate in helping the one person!

Most ideas that are put forward, we (and I include myself) tend to think are for other people, as the way we get to football is what suits us. The solution to the problem is for us all to make an effort, but we all tend to wait until our particular solution changes before we are pushed into doing something.

RFC pay HP £1000 per day for use of the car park

Seems very cheap to me.I'm in the wrong business.
How much do they charge to park at HP.
How many spaces?
Pay a few twats to keep it running £400 a game
£5 @ 500 spaces £2500
£10 @ 500 spaces £5000
x 19 league games + how ever many cup games
= ?££££££

Easy money in the bank

Or £7.00 @ 1000 spaces even.
