Oh dear-should learn not to back Reading at home whoever they are playing.South Coast Royal wrote:At this time of the season there are suddenly strange odds offered by bookies based on clubs needing to win.
A good example is tonight's game v 'Boro where our odds to win should be no bigger than evens but 2/1 is available which are big odds for any home team.
I know we are not great at home but teams like 'Boro "needing to win" need to win because the table doesn't lie, they are where they are because they are not very good.
This is great value for money for a punter-we may not win but a bet is value because in putting on £20 to get a return of £60 the bet should really cost around £30 to get £60 back.
I do think that Wigan at 5/6 at home to Hull should be about 1/2-in their game BOTH teams "need to win" so it will be interesting to see how that pans out as a draw wouldn't help either team much.
So I have just put the mockers on both Reading and Wigan-sorry.
Lol @ us being behind Barnsley, and joint with Sheff Wed with a 12 point head start.Winston Biscuit wrote:Skybet odds on promotion

21/10 with Paddy Power.
Odds seem decent.
I do realise that Bayern put 8 ( eight ) past Barcelona last week, but PSG have some very good players.
Were you able to cash out on it at any point for a profit?Winston Biscuit wrote:Norwich, Pompey & Salford to be promoted - £5 returns £132
Got 2/3 last year and it went down to the wire so hoping to get it over the line this time
It was there as an option to cash out all season until lockdown when they froze that. The cash out value only went up to around £20 from a £5 bet at that point though.Simmops wrote:Were you able to cash out on it at any point for a profit?Winston Biscuit wrote:Norwich, Pompey & Salford to be promoted - £5 returns £132
