With just 24,119 hardy souls dotted around the vast expanses of empty seating (and a similar disaster just around the corner for our televised encounter with the Arse ) the current drop in demand could become the sort of nightmare that Northern Rock only narrowly escaped thanks to those bright chaps in financial services.

At least 400+ empty seats on Saturday-Many in the upper West. Must have been at least seven coach breakdowns and possibly Woodcote's helicopter suffered technical faults. Tis the only possible "sell out" explanation.

Plenty of scope for egg on faces here methinks. Couple of places up the league and we'll see them all come flocking back. Expansion in the summer is a must if this club is to take the Premiership seriously.

I advocated waiting to see how this season panned out before deciding on the expansion.

I then pointed out that demand had fallen which wasn't a good sign.

Several toys came out of several prams about that suggestion.

Games didn't sell out, kids for a quid schemes were invoked, the ticket office commented that it was getting harder to sell tickets.

The question of whether demand has fallen has been answered.

The question of whether to expand remains open and should do until the end of the season, unless we are relegated before then at which point it should be torn up immediately.
