Na, football's a complicated black hole of wages, agent fees, off shore accounts etc etc. One of the better places i can think of to 'loose' a couple of million here or there especially if you have oh...say a giant music festival in the middle of summer completely out of the blue.

It's not like a Premier League Manager was recently up for Tax Evasion FFS. This stuff simply doesn't happen under the sort of media scrutiny football has to put up with.

I beg to differ. Dodgy dealings happen all of the time in football. Look at how the world cup ended up in Qatar. It's just about how well you do it and how well you get away with it.

Not saying you're wrong but it does beg the question, to me anyway, of why do they want to own a club. Surely they're not daft enough to think they can make money on the footballing side of it and if they don't want the fame, adulation and ego massaging then what is in it for them?

This, plus you won't be able to find that many cat 1 Academy clubs up for sale for such a comparatively low price. Once the Academy tree starts to bear it's cat one fruit in four or so years, the ability of the club to consistently produce it's own high quality players increases.

He couldn't have resigned as a shareholder, he could have resigned his seat on the board. It may have been a magnificent gesture but would have been pretty self defeating. Very often those who resign on a point of principle are simply trying to sAve their own skin anyway....

His best chance as a shareholder of knowing what's going on is to be there himself on the board.... the board are appointed by shareholders, he is representing himself.

If he was doing it as a job and not as a shareholder I imagine he would have jumped ship ages ago.

Not really. We have a fantastic academy in place with a number of excellent and committed personnel running it, in which there are a number of very talented players. We have a nice modern stadium with grounds for expansion, and a healthy fan base that could experience rapid growth under the right conditions. It's all there for the taking. Just hope Samrit can see that.
