I find what Antonio Conte is doing at Spurs is incredible. Says a lot about his management skills that he can get a tune of that absolute pile of shite. Sure Reading fans tried that on occasion under Coppell but with “Stevie Coppell’s barmy army” or something. Anyway seem to recall games with that chant going on for several minutes but then they were the days when Reading used to win home games so there was some atmosphere at many home games.

Spurs are now Played 11, Won 7 Drawn 3 and Lost 1 under Conte. Pretty impressive.

Without dismissing the start, it’s been a relatively easy start for him, certainly league fixtures with:

Everton (A) - team badly off form
Leeds (H) - struggling side
Brentford (H) - newly promoted side
Norwich (H) - say no more
Liverpool (H) - good point but got away with some dubious decisions
Palace (H) - fairly decent team but had 10 men for a fair chunk
Southampton (A) - team with a poor home record
Watford (A) - newly promoted, struggling team

Of course it’s easy to manipulate the stats into a certain way to fit an agenda but I do think it has been overall, a fairly easy start. Measures of progression will become more evident in this next month with the SF against Chelsea, as well as the league games against them and Arsenal

Intrigued to see who nicks 4th spot with Spurs, Arsenal and United all on the up with West Ham also staying strong after a poor run

Winks is one of those players that managers love, works his absolute socks off. Sadly just isn't very talented. You could see the difference that Bentancur coming into the midfield made yesterday. The two new January signings were excellent yesterday.

As for Kane, well, it was the complete centre forward performance.
