Sunderland not being 'overachievers' is really quite mental. They are currently 1 point behind Brentford, they were 2nd favourites to go down with the bookies, they came up via the play offs last season, and Brentford this season are guaranteed to finish on a lower points total than they did last season
Yes, I am bumping my own post here.

1st in xGA.

During that run, lost Simons, Romero, Solanke and Kudus to injury. Some turn around from him
Utd top of the 'since Carrick came in' league table 8)

The most bonkers stat for me is: we finished 42 points behind LFC last season and 11 above them this season

Utd in with a shout for this. Plucky lower table finishers complete the season in third

Very happy to never hear about the assist record ever again, which no one had mentioned until a month ago, and isn't actually a thing anyway.

Twenty seems to be a tricky number to beat across all leagues, however. Considering Bruno spent half a season as a midfield pivot, it's pretty impressive. I think really, it highlights the sheer amount of chances he creates more than anything.

Very interesting weekend of football. The Championship play offs were so fecking boring this year in terms of on-pitch entertainment.

The Tottenham game wasn't the best - Everton barely did anything of note. West Ham put in a great performance ... just a shame it's way too late.

I heard something about their ground recently, which is due to relegation, there's a clause which means that £2.5m of the annual cost will be for local residents or the council to pay...
