I think the stats tell a bit of a lie. Yes, Liverpool had possession, but it was laborious possession. Liverpool had higher xg, but Newcastle created the two most dangerous chances of either team, but they don't count for xg or shots on target as they flashed across the goal.

Maybe Szoboszlai is the designated penalty taker now, he certainly has the technique to do so. However, if he isn't, and Isak is, I would be concerned that Isak didn't take it. Your record signing number 9 should be taking that whatever the circumstances. What's he doing at a big club like Liverpool if he's not going to take that penalty?

I said about Wharton over a year ago and think it still might happen but , as you say, there may be an issue with Palace after the Guehi fiasco.
