It was so frustrating watching Roberts and Lane leave Dorset high and dry constantly down the left, felt he was getting unfairly targeted for going backwards when those two, who were supposed to be his outlet were constantly nowhere near him.

I've been getting Guinness Walker vibes from Roberts since he came back from injury.

No one owes you an apology for arguing that you don't get rid of a new manager who's winning games just because the football is a bit shit. On that basis we would have fired Stam 3 months into his tenure.

Obviously now that we've gotten to the end of the season and have more matches to judge him on, it's much more reasonable to question whether he's the right fit. Personally, I still think he just about deserves to carry on and I prefer to keep managers in general. But I wouldn't call you any names for arguing the opposite right now.

A no-mark game didn't even watch it don't care.

Sorry to say the official window for exchanges of gloats and apologies opens in December. Save your efforts till then. Everyone keep your receipts. Thank you.

It’s rather cringey to see people demanding that told-you-so’s should be honoured. Anybody can randomly moan about a manager before the ball is even kicked. Conversely it’s not at all shameful to give a new manager a chance. He came in, most rightly offered their support and positivity, results improved, the football didn’t, results got worse, and having given him the chance he deserved, a lot more fans are now convinced his time is up.

We just have to hope if he goes, that we can make a better appointment before the summer is up, and if he doesn’t, Couhig has broached the issue of negative football and is confident with investment Leam is capable of producing the performances the fans (and players) are hopeful for.

I don't think that Brogue was "demanding" an apology and that it was a fairly light-hearted comment on a board that often takes itself too seriously.

There have been a few comments on facebook recently from Wigan and Rotherham fans who said that they had warned us what to expect and one Rotherham fan, on seeing his side relegated to the 4th division, reckons that their current manager is the 2nd worst that they have had in living memory.
You can guess who is rated the very worst.

I do have a feeling that Couhig & Co will do what more and more of our paying customers would seemingly like to happen.
Like most Yanks they are ridiculously positive so would probably think that somebody else could do better and having cut Hunt's time short fairly quickly they may well do the same with Leam and his entourage even if Beattie managed to get Kelvin to perform just a little bit better as a striker.

I think the results improved, but the football got a lot worse. At least I felt I would be entertained by Noel Hunt's side. And I felt, on our day, we could match anyone. Under Richardson, I feel we will always just try and grind out a result. This is whether we are playing top of the league or bottom of the league. It's frustrating and boring. I just want to be entertained. Currently I am bored of watching Reading. For that, I blame the manager.

After one such occasion you could clearly see Dorsett turn and look in their direction with a 'WTF guys?!!' expression followed by some gesturing.

You say the lack of firepower isn’t Richardson’s fault. We needed a striker in January and we brought in his mate will keane :| . If he had brought someone decent in we might have stood a chance.
Much as Richardson needs to go, the striker thing is more on Hunt....not rating Wareham for starters and the 2 players you said we had signed but didn't get have done nothing all season. You'd think as a striker himself he'd have done better. I doubt Marriott would even have been signed if we'd got the forwards he was after.
Did Noel not rate Wareham? He had Wareham in the under 21s and trusted him in the first team after Smith left. Always got the impression that higher ups didn't think he was worth more than a year rather than Noel not rating him.
That was the impression I got too. I thought Wareham was actually one of Noel's protegees. He even had the acrobatics!

Maybe it was out of Noel's hands only offering such a short contract?

What is with the Wareham obsession people have? Like he'd have made any difference to this pile of crap

Very much doubt he would've had the impact here he did at Exeter that's for sure.

Other than letting a 21 goal 22 year old striker with a good all round game, was popular with the fans, worked his backside off - and who managed 50 games this year go on a free? I don’t think we’re obsessed enough tbh

Agree he wouldn’t have necessarily made a massive difference but it was a huge and costly blunder.

Someone could offer good money for him in the summer, I wonder if we have a sell on as part of the compensation package.

It was very clear on the TV and the rather naive commentator put it down to his poor touch.

Indeed, there was an occasion in the first half, after Dorsett had been getting a bit of stick from the crowd for constantly going backwards when he just launched a ball forward which ended up with their keeper as if to say 'there you go then, that worked didn't it'.
