Oh, no doubt less than 500. GG and programme sellers probably number 20-30 max I would say. Ticket office staff? Do they still do the door to door scratch cards?

Would more seats be taken up by expansion of the press areas this year?

Not sure about the press expansion but it should be taken ito account in the 24225 if so. There was a capacity of 24056 quoted in a club letter over the summer (whicih prompted Deadlock to get hold of the 24225 statement), so that might account for another chunk of the deficit.

(Still no solution for the 18000/2400/90% thing, though.)

Reads to me that they've kind of got it the wrong way round and it's roughly 10% of capacity available on a game by game basis. The other 90% of tickets being taken up by STH, away, comps etc.

If a disabled fan brings a carer, does the latter get in for free? This was the case at a cinema where I used to work. We also used to keep a small number of seats permanently unavailable on the ticket system, in case there was a problem and a customer needed to be moved (broken chairs, vomit, &c.).
