They weren't the only players out and about last night.
Let them.
Why do some people always go for the lowest common denominator?
'They're out so they don't care'.

What a load of rubbish.

Fans should go up and ask them what happened, whenever I've gone up to a player out and about, they've always been fine.
Usually I leave them to it.
Staggering up, screaming for a reason why they were rubbish and why they DON'T CARE just because they're having a few drinks after a match on a Saturday night, is all a bit basic and simple-minded, and if I was a player you would be ignored.

There was me thinking that they were pissed during the game, not after it.

Ask Gazza, Merson, P McGrath, Captain Marvel and T Adams about that.

I've spoken to many RFC players past and present after a match and I can assure you I have never staggered up to them or screamed at them.

Jerry St Clair Nail firmly hit on head by the Fulham fans.

After a season of utter crap, that has to be the big shiny turd on top of the effluent cake.

To pre-empt Alan Partridge: DUMP.

IMAMATEOFJOVSKY I'd say that this season is our 3rd best season ever, not second !

Last season the best
The Championship winning season when we mullered the division = 2nd best
This season - 3rd
Next season - who knows!

I think I liked the 01-02 and 02-03 seasons more than this.

Second best season? That is just a f8ucking joke.

Second best league position we have ever achieved – yes.

How anyone can think of this season, even if we don’t go down, as successful is totally beyond me.

Worst ever run of consecutive defeats, hammered by mediocre opponents (including two of the three current bottom clubs) on a regular basis and players that either don’t give a toss or are incapable of consistently performing at this level.

A manager who seems to have blind spots so far as some players performances are concerned and has, by his own admission, not invested when he had the funds available.

A board director who compares us to Arsenal and talks about ambition to become an established top ten side – completely oblivious to what going on around him (and what’s happening on the pitch)

And finally an attention seeking Chairman who seems to be more concerned about a footballer buying a decent bottle of wine than the fact his ‘investment’ is heading down with barely a wimper.

Second best season – rubbish.

Has anyone taken note week in week out how he's very rarely in the dugout getting his views across to the players. sure he is a quiet type of manager not so much a hands on kind of one but surely there are times when even the quietest manager need to voice there opinions DIRECTLY and not through a first team coach like Wally.

when we secure our prem status we need a serious rehaul!! I am not sure if coppell will be with us next season!

John Peel Before I have my turn to rant, people must admit that our performance was still better than against Villa and Bolton. Fulham were class - hats off to them I say. Passing - great, movement - great, midfield - awesome.

Rosenoir was one of our worst players last week and matched that performance this week. One fantastic block is not enough. What's happened to the player against Man City? Play Murts next week.

Hunt is utter sh*te at the moment and his great effort isn't good enough. Play Convey next week.

Harper wasn't poor, but we need someone who can make tackles and I'd much rather play Marek to do the creating. Play Cisse or Fae next week.

Bike and Inga - probably our best players today. Thought the positioning for 90% of the time was good and they were also on the right side of players to make some great blocks.

Shorey - if he didn't set up/score so many goals for a defender I'd be calling for his head. His passing was awful today and just didn't look like he cared.

Doyle is a striker and hasn't scored for about 5 months. Stop playing your favourites Steve!

Long - is an impact player ONLY. He's great at that role so please stop playing him from the start Steve.

Oster - thought the booing was utterly disgraceful. The man wasn't great, but was still better than some. Scapegoat. Still, play Blakey next week. The man can cross if nothing else!!

If Arsenal lose tomorrow they won't be playing for anything next week and will utterly downhearted. Can see us getting something if that happens.

It's still in our hands. We seemed to have the defence sorted (for a relegation team anyway) but the midfield is playing second fiddle too often. Same against Newcastle last week.

agree with everthing you say apart from Doyle, he is low on cofidence but still created our best chance with that header and the service is he is getting is more shocking than the weather today

Major point of detail - it was Oster who created our best chance and Doyle who contrived to miss the sitter presented to him on a plate. I'm getting really sick and tired of Coppell's favorites game. If Kitson did something to upset him, make him clean the effing toilets at the Mad Stad - don't drop him and make the team and fans suffer and lose three points as a consequence. The moment I heard Kitson was on the bench and saw the size of Fulham's defence, my money was on a Fulham win.

And with the team so clearly committed to playing hoofball at all costs, why the hell didn't he put Cisse on at centre back and move Bikey (who looked our biggest hope of getting a goal anyway) up front as a proper target man?!

100% spot on. What hurts most was that if we'd been stuffed 0-4 or 0-5, we couldn't really complain!!

There was only one Premiership football team out there today, and they weren't wearing blue and white.

That was utter, utter, UTTER shite.

If, IF, we stay up this year, (and after THAT showing we'll be damn lucky), the powers that be simply have to see that 4 transfer windows of Premiership football on the cheap is a fluke. We desperately need half a dozen proven Premiership players and forget the totally failed policy of buying cheap nobodies from Outer Mongolia or wherever.

When the Fulham teamsheet was read out before the game, I turned to my brother in law and queried why Fulham were so low in the table with a team that on paper was pretty strong. After the game I am even more puzzled!! Murphy, Dempsey, Bullard, Davies .... they took us to the cleaners today. Yes, they're on double our wages, blah, blah, blah, but Mr mad - this is the big boys league chap. You pay Championship wages and pay Championship fees, and you get Championship footballers playing (if you are lucky) Championship football.

Our "team" of carthorses and foreign reserve team rejects were outplayed, outthought, outfought by a team who played the ball to feet, were able to pass and move, and weren't afraid of actually shooting. Not one single Reading player this evening can hold his hand up and say he was satisfied with his performance today. Fulham were simply streets ahead of us, (as were their fans BTW), and if they go down playing that kind of football, we are in for a torrid third season.

Again, during the warm-up, we were debating who we should vote for for Player of the Season. Frankly there is no-one worthy this year. Had we had Mateovsky for the season, he would get my vote for the simple fact that he can pass the ball. Everyone else has had pretty dire seasons, and the end cannot come soon enough after today.

Yes, yes, Derby fans have it much worse, yes we are still ahead of Fulham, Bolton and Birmingham, but honestly, is that good enough? Is that really acceptable?

No, no it is not. Opportunities such as the one RFC were given 2 years ago come round once in a blue moon. Mr Mad is pissing this opportunity away faster than you can say Fosters Lager. And what the oxf*rd was all that victory roll nonsense he was performing before kick-off, like some latterday Roman Emporer???? FFS Mr mad, you need to get a grip pretty damn quickly, because whilst you're revelling in the glory of LENDING the club £40M, it is actually sinking around your ears.

(May I just ad that not onece have I criticised our Welsh right winger. Thanks to Al Clements for the loan of the Grays programme from 2000/01, i am honouring my committment never to slag said "player" off ever again. It is mightily tempting to after today, but I am a man of my word - sadly).

Right, whinge over, feeling a little better, and moving onto next Saturday. Who've we got? Of oxf*rd, Arsenal away! Can't wait!!!!

I agree with that sir.

A question was asked of me after Satudays defeat, the chap said "IF you stay up, how do you see the next 12 months for your club", will it be a) they will realise signing Looky Looky men off the beaches (and no, that's NOT meant as a racist comment) is not sensible business for a Prem club, so they will sign proven players to (hopefully) increase the chances of avoiding another season like this one, or b) they will once again go for the cheaper option, not really add enough quality to a weak squad and have another repeat of this season... I can honestly say, I hope it would be we go for (a) but I don't think that would be the right answer.

Not sure about that, Oster has been unfairly maligned and was one of our best outfield players on Saturday but there were a couple of times when he jumped out of headers or didn't track back. Hunt despite his shit performance was at least trying as hard as he normally does.

I wonder how the Fulham players felt hearing this chant. They can have no complaints but as embarrasing for them as well as us.

Re. the cross bar chant they didn't hit it 3 times just once. The other two were good saves.

Another couple of points:
Hahneman: Must wonder what we're playing at at the back. No protection for the 1st goal.
Oster: Cross the ball, man, for god's sake.
Forwards: Shoot once in a while.
