I am not re-newing for the following reason.We were a group of 80 who the football club named the tickets as Premier Club.We paid £645 for 4 seasons then in first season in Premier they moved us having charged £845.Then start of last season they said thanks for money we now consider Premier Club no longer viable. Why should I and all the others bother as they just want a quick buck.

The club has struggled coping with the success/ growth. We all have our horror stories (for me: arsenal League Cup fiasco, screwing up my ST trfs at the time of the HST bonanza in the promotion season).
However, I honestly believe Mr Mad sets an ethical standard and unlike other clubs RFC do listen and treat their supporters with respect, not just as 20,000+ cash point machines.
That should not stop them providing opportunities for people who want to show their loyalty through splashing the cash - it is up to us to accept them or not (e.g. my kids will get the new strip).

So get over it and buy a STH, you know it makes sense.

Don't think I'll renew mine. Been thinking about it long and hard, and primary reason is that why do I need to, I can get a ticket to any game I want as there won't be sell outs.

Secondly, I'm a bit fed up with all the constant bravado from the club (mainly Mr Mad). He never puts his money where his mouth is, and all the rhetoric about balancing the books etc, well he's in the wrong business, the more you spend = more success in football and if he isn't going to do that, then the club will always be a small/mid size championship club.

Thirdly, I'm still not convinced that it was down to the manager that he didn't spend last winter during the transfer window when it was obvious to all the supporters that we needed to buy. I'm convinced that there wasn't sufficient funds available to buy the players who would have made a difference, but Sir Steve is too polite to bring this out into the open and blame the chairman. So, why will it change this year? It won't, and therefore I don't see any reason to grab a season ticket.

A friend of mine renewed this week and asked how many had been sold. he was told about 4,000 which is not too different to the same time last year. I would be surprised if it ends up at more than about 10,000

I think it's more to do with when another buyer comes in. I would guarantee that when JM does leave, he will still have some affiliation with the club as he genuinely does support it and wants it to succeed.

I think it's admirable the way some people are happy to let the club, rather than themselves, earn interest on their money by renewing earlier than they have to.

My money will be staying in my account and working for me until the very last moment! Even then, I shall let good old M&S give it to the club before I finally have to settle up a month later, at which point I shall get some money off my shopping in return!

He's decided not to renew, as he was missing too many games; it would also mean that we could get tickets more easily with other friends who aren't able to make every match. I'm now not sure what to do, whether to get my ticket and expect most games that he could find a place next to/near me, or not renew and just buy tickets together as a group every game. The latter wouldn't really be that big a deal, except that I really like my seat (even if it is next to cheeryoleary ), and I like having a season ticket. Besides which, if I do go to every home game, as I did last year, I'll save money. Hmmm...

Different strokes for different folk, I paid mine when I did because it made the most financial sense for me given the outgoings I have over the next few months. It also got it out of the way at I time I was able to rather than thinking I'll leave it to the last minute then having something come up that stops me from actually getting on to the club and renewing - that £2 saving (or whatever) suddenly becomes a £60 loss.

But that's just me, if people pay earlier then their no mug, if they pay later than me, doesn't make me a mug.

Personally I renewed at the start of June. I'd been paid a few days earlier. I have to renew before the start of July to retain my seat. Now I could have waited until the 20th of June, the last day I'd be guaranteed my current seat, but as my account, as with most accounts, only pays interest per month if I don't withdraw that month, I wouldn't be any better off. In fact if you have your money in such an account, and have more than £425 in it, you'd actually lose money by sticking your £425 in that account and withdrawing it as you'd lose a month's interest on the rest of your savings in your account too when you did withdraw. So personally I'd have gained £0.00p in interest for keeping the money in that account for and extra three weeks, and lost about £90 in interest that month when I withdrew.

I would genuinely be very interested to know about an account that offers a decent rate of interest even if you withdraw that month.

This is a fascinating insight into RoyalBlue. So many of his posts show the absolute contempt he has for the way RFC is run and yet he seems to use them as an example of best practice. Oh well, maybe he is Nigel Howe in disguise and that is why he is so vehement - in order to throw a smoke screen .......
