I'm just thinking of Sam's former players that he could get at Blackburn. Maybe Diouf as he's not settled down at Sunderland? Apparently Blackburn have very little money to spend but I suppose that will change once Santa Cruz is sold.

Diouf would be an excellent signing - the thing with Allardyce is that even if he signs those in between players who may have checkered pasts or might be underachieving, if anyone can get the best out of them it's him. Djorkaeff, Okocha, Anelka, Diouf, Davies, Campo, Speed... the list is endless.

I guess Santa Cruz won't be on much? Robinson? Emerton? Gamst Pedersen? McCarthy? They'll all be on big wages - Blackburn get roughly the same gates and TV money as Bolton so I can't see it being too much of an issue.

I see that Paul Ince was on Sky Sports News moaning about not being given time to prove himself. That really smacks of hypocrisy seeing that he dumped on Macclesfield and MK Dons. He wasn't at those clubs long enough to prove himself either.
