As someone suggested, he'll have to go round the country to get his old team back together. With the exception of Ivar all we have left here are the players who struggled to get a look in unless one of his undroppables was bed ridden.

Tabb is a prime example of a player he bought as cover and it took Coppell's departure for him to get a fair chance......................so there's more chance of hell freezing over than him going west.

On the other hand, Ivar and Harps room sharing for a few months must be a distinct possibility.

I wish SC no ill but remain delighted I no longer have to watch him and his favourites driving us into the dirt.

I didn't say anything about poor games, just a distinct lack of them and when he did play he was pretty average. Over the last few months he's looked class, hard working, good passer,etc and he's vast becoming a crowd favourite more than just a squad nobody. That's where I was coming from.

I was surprised and a bit disappointed when I heard that Coppell was going to Bristol City but when I thought about it, it's probably their averageness that attracted him there. Apart from their fans with their over inflated sense of self importance, they'll probably be content to let him develop the squad over a couple of years like he did with us, with not huge funds to work with and I think he'll like that.

Fans will naturally see him as an instant panacea but that is a common trait amongst all fans.

Look at us before our 106 season - decent Championship club finishing 7th on 70 points and the previous seaon 9th on 70 points, Bit like Brizzle now...

A bit like us NOW then?
Looking from the outside it would make sense for there to be just the one club in Bristol as it is a city plenty big enough to support one Premiership club with say 40,000 support.
As it is the divide will probably mean that they will continue to have 2 clubs playing at lower levels.
One day the world of English professional football will wake up to the nonsense of having 92 league clubs plus about a further 6 or 7 professional Conference teams.

Which kind of makes us a failry decent promotion side who had a very poor half a season before Xmas ?

Perhaps we should have half-seasons rather than full ones to establish promotion and relegation?
On the first part of this season we would have been relegated and for the second we would have been promoted.
Would we have to select one or the other before the season starts?
