He won me over in his first couple of games. Would like to know what part of the Reading crowd you're referring to? Don't remember him at any point having a poor game for us...FiNeRaIn wrote:but after starting to win over the Reading crowd

A bit like us NOW then?Muskrat wrote:I was surprised and a bit disappointed when I heard that Coppell was going to Bristol City but when I thought about it, it's probably their averageness that attracted him there. Apart from their fans with their over inflated sense of self importance, they'll probably be content to let him develop the squad over a couple of years like he did with us, with not huge funds to work with and I think he'll like that.
Fans will naturally see him as an instant panacea but that is a common trait amongst all fans.
Look at us before our 106 season - decent Championship club finishing 7th on 70 points and the previous seaon 9th on 70 points, Bit like Brizzle now...

In that we finished 3rd last season (not 7th) and we're also 3rd based on the second half of this season ?BR2 wrote:A bit like us NOW then?Muskrat wrote:I was surprised and a bit disappointed when I heard that Coppell was going to Bristol City but when I thought about it, it's probably their averageness that attracted him there. I'm not sure, I reckon that could have potential in the Championship. They would just need to learn how to keep the ball for more than 5 passes.handbags_harris wrote:They're welcome to Cisse and Matejovsky as their new central midfield partnership...
i dont understand this, things move on, great memorys, shocking last 18 months and ran out of steam at this club.Royal Lady wrote:A sad day for me.
It's not spin.BR2 wrote:That's a pretty good spin ST at this time of political debate being to the fore.
Perhaps we should have half-seasons rather than full ones to establish promotion and relegation?
On the first part of this season we would have been relegated and for the second we would have been promoted.
Would we have to select one or the other before the season starts?
