Not too many yeas ago that handball wasn't even a red card offence so not sure why people are calling for a stiffer punishment. You do what it takes to win the game, they all don it, and a red card and resulting suspension is about right for me.

As for Jay saying he could've just used his head...if he'd done that chances are the ball would've ended up in the goal as he'd have been stretching for it, and combined with the pace of the effort I don't think he'd have been able to control the header.

As it happens I think Appiah was offside in the build up to his change anyway (depending on 'phases of play') so I think it was a bit of justice in the end.
