Winks is nothing more than a Championship midfielder imo. Dier doesn't know what he is, he gets shifted around the pitch each and every game so hasn't ever had a consistant run in one postion. He lacks a bit of discipline and is far too casual for my liking.

Anyone else think this is shaping up to be one of the most competitive Premier Leagues for a while? Any one of City, Liverpool, Chelsea, United and Leeds could potentially win it. Then you've got Spuds, Arsenal, Everton and Leicester who will all be hoping to nab a champ league place.

Having said that, Citeh will probs run a way with it, and the top four will be the same as last season.

Both remind me of George Evans a bit for us. Games seem to pass them by, always safe passes, no influence on a game and no particular strength which makes them stand out

I think Arsenal have a chance of winning it. Defensive shape and solidarity was a real issue under Wenger and Emery but it’s improved tenfold since Arteta has arrived

With Aubameyang up front you’ll always get goals and Willian is a decent addition considering his strong season last year. Pepe also has the potential to improve after a mediocre first one. Midfield could be their downfall but credit to him, Elneny has started the season well, including the Community Shield game

Yeah, other than the 18/19 season, seems to have been runaway leader each year for the past 5 or so years, best league in the world an all that etc

Currently back training with Palace. Hopefully can get his career back on track, was class a few seasons ago. Still only 29 as well.

You'd think at 29 that he still has a good few years left in him yet and could surely do a job at lower end Prep/top end Champ?

We are going to see so much movement on deadline day this year, aren't we? Clubs have the luxury of seeing how they get on for a full month before the window closes so were wary of bringing players in. I think the clubs getting off to a bad start will panic buy/loan on deadline day this year. Sky Sports will be in their element.

maybe he has had a bunch of offers and is being choosy, or thinks waiting until nearer the window closing puts him in a good position. Just seems odd that someone who has clearly been PL quality in his career and is now in his prime years would leave a club and go nearly 3 months before moving to a new one
