Ian Royal Yeah but they were once FA Cup finalists over 30 years ago and won the Charity shield over 100 years ago. That's way bigger than having won the second tier twice, played three top flight seasons and won the Simod Cup, hold the league points record and the league best start record.
It's not like they've only finished above us three / four times in 20 years and average almost an entire division of places below us in that time.
It's great to see them having got through their nadir of playing at an athletics track (or whatever it was) and repeatedly nearly falling out the league. It's nice to see them in a big shiny new plastic stadium and doing well in the Championship. But really, the attitude they bring with it is very unbecoming and wins them no friends.
They're marginally bigger and more successful than us over the last two / three seasons, at the point we slumped from our heights, but they've got some going to overtake those heights, we're now stabilising and recovering and they're starting to level out.

Machiavelli Norwood really hasn't done much here. I really like the way that he strokes the ball around, but it's all from so deep, and devoid of ambition. He doesn't seem terribly mobile either, and have been unimpressed thus far with his set-pieces.

floyd__streete The 'rivalry' between Brighton and Reading fans.....as middle-class and trifling as a tiff between Margo and Jerry Leadbetter in the Good Life.

Glory Boy Brighton fans are extremely childish.
They also have a unhealthy, obsessive hatred of Bournemouth. If an identical club to Bournemouth was a the middle of Yorkshire they wouldn't care but because they have such a childish mind set and Bournemouth are on the South coast they despise them. We are nearer to Bournemouth but I really couldn't care a less about them.

They (Bournemouth) certainly used to care a lot about us. Whether it's the same since their PL rise is a different matter.

Thanks, my hairdresser tried something a little different this time. He's such a sweetheart. Have you been working out?

Pepe the Horseman Annoyingly that's what's happened.
At first we were confused by their hatred and weird obsession with us.
Then we found it hilarious.
Then it got a bit tedious.
Now we still find it a bit weird, hilarious and tedious, but we've begun to hate them.
They've created an internet flame war that's spilled into real life and will last for decades.

LUX yep, similar happened with West Ham for a couple of years, definitely. We're not on their radar now.
