Semenyo has been saying today that it was the case at Bournemouth and they even had full-on training the day before a game when often that is seen as a rest day by many clubs or just a light training day.

BTW if the scousers thought that Benitez was difficult to understand they haven't heard anything yet if Iraola is the man.
Pierre Sage and a cheeky bid for Luis Enrique are also being considered apparently. But it should be Iraola (and former Reading loanee Tommy Elphick) that get the mgr/asst mgr gig.

Apparently no Liverpool players have even commented either publicly or on their social media accounts about Slot leaving (Van Dijk said thank you on the club website as part of an official farewell thing)

Seems clear that to an extent Slot had 'lost the dressing room'. And after apparently backing him in April, I think the way Liverpool's season fizzled into nothing probably saw FSG change their minds. They needed four points from their last four games to secure Champions League football, and performances were insipid. Only got two points, but it was enough.

Iraola seems a manager who will demand a lot of the players. And also one tactically aligned to some of the better football our Reading has played in the last couple of decades with bombing full-backs and wingers and mobile midfielders snapping at ankles. Good for Ngumoha you'd imagine, less so for Gakpo and other players that slow the game down. From transforming under Slot, I'd suggest Gravenberch might also now find himself out of favour. Szobozslai will surely come back into a midfield enforcer role.
